Import Logbook Entries from your Garmin GPS
Want to get a head start on your leftse.at logbook? Entries stored in your Garmin GPS can be directly imported into your logbook using this form. If you’ve been tracking flights in Excel, we can handle that, as well. Instructions for formatting are provided here. We’re working on logbook entry exporting, as well; look for it here before Halloween.

Subscribe to Multiple Charts in One Click
Once you’ve added credit card and shipping address information to your account profile, adding 2 or 20 chart subscriptions is a snap. Use the all charts page in leftse.at to select the charts you need and then click “add subscriptions.”

Add Pictures to Your Logbook Entries
Adding pictures to your logbook is quick and easy. From the logbook home page, click the timer next to a logbook entry. At the bottom of the logbook entry page, use the “browse” button to select an image (in .jpg, .gif or .png format) from your computer, then use the “upload file” button to complete the upload. The uploaded image will be automatically resized and made available on the public view of that logbook entry. To edit all the images in your account, including the image used as your profile photo, visit the pictures page.

Apply keywords to your leftse.at profile and meet other members of the community who share your interests. Jump to your extended profile and add “tags” that represent your aviation life, your occupation or your outside interests—mine would be “student pilot”, “web design”, “golf”, “Indiana” and “flight simulator”. Yours could be “flight instructor”, “bird watcher” and “dentist”. To find users with similar interests, click over to the tag cloud to see the 50 most popular tags on the site, then click on any of those to see the members who used that keyword. It’s another way to participate in the leftse.at community and extend the enjoyment you get from being an aviator.

Check the Class and Category
Logbook entries created before 9:30 EST on May 10, 2006 did not accurately store the Aircraft Category and Class data entered for the flight. Those fields are working now for new entries and for entries that are being edited. [ more ]

When a friend of yours posts a new logbook entry or photo to the site, you’ll be the first to know and see it.
